band history ~ members ~ discography
HIZAKI grace project is the continuation of HIZAKI's first solo project. This time HIZAKI decided to use permanent members like in a band and finally perform live apart from working on SULFURIC ACID.
HIZAKI grace project began its activites with Yuu (ex Jyakura) on bass, HIKARU (ex IZABEL VAROSA) on vocals and SEIJI (SULFURIC ACID) as support drummer in summer 2006.
After SULFURIC ACID's disbandment in October 2006, HIZAKI decided not to join a new band and focused on his solo project. The final lineup for studio recording and live appearances saw Mikage (ex BABYLON) on drums, TERU (Aikaryu) on guitar and Juka (ex Moi dix Mois) on vocals instead of HIKARU. The release of the first full-lenght album Dignity of crest was preceded by a short event tour in winter 2006.
However, due to various obligation of most of the members and the impending birth of Versailles, HIZAKI grace project suspended regular activities after the first oneman on February 17th 2007 (released on DVD).
For the rest of 2007 HIZAKI grace project performed live in rare occasions and recorded two releases with only Juka and HIZAKI: a single titled Ruined Kingdom and an instrumental album titled curse of virgo. The last live performance of HIZAKI grace project took place at the session event of December 24th 2007 with Kaya on vocals instead of Juka, who had just announced his retirement from the music scene.
As of early 2008 HIZAKI seems to have no intention to work on his solo project due to his involvement in Versailles.
